Transportation

SD64 bus en route

Approximately 1000 students in the Gulf Islands ride a bus or water taxi every day. Operating the school district transportation system is a complex undertaking. Thank you students and parents for respecting the policies and practices designed to maximize efficiency and access while ensuring safety for all riders.

Access to district student transportation services is provided in accordance with Board Policy 5.80 Student Transportation and Transportation Administrative Practices (Section T).

Any questions? Please get in touch with the Transportation Department via email or at 250-537-5723.

Bus Registration

Registration for school bus transportation for the 2026–2027 school year is now closed.

Registrations submitted after the registration window create additional work for the Transportation Department. As a result, late registrations will incur a $75 fee.

The Transportation Department will process late registration requests only after the $75 fee has been paid. Please send an e-transfer to transportation@sd64.org.

If your student is new to the district, this fee does not apply. Contact us at transportation@sd64.org and we will facilitate the registration process.

For more information, please review the administrative practice: AP T1 – Student Bus Transportation Eligibility and Registration.
