GISS graduate Isabella Carlyle is shown here in Canada’s Parliament. Isabella serves as a page in the House of Commons. An Honour Roll member during her four years at GISS, Isabella aspires to work in the area of international development and the environment. She graduated in June 2016 from GISS.
In order to be accepted as a Parliamentary Page, Isabella not only needed to demonstrate an excellent understanding of our democratic processes, but she was also required to pass a gruelling language competency test in French which verified she could function at a C1 level,” explained Louise Doucet, French Immersion Coordinator for Gulf Islands Schools. This highlights the strong work we are doing in this district in the area of French Immersion.
